Last Friday I was invited to the beautiful Lancôme Event with a couple of my fellow bloggers. The Lancôme Croatia Team – Ivana Petkovic-Cevra, Ivana Lisak, Nicoletta Ogrinc and Matija Posavec – made this event a really magic and creative one and the atmosphere was awesome, I enjoyed it.
Anyway, it’s a fact that this year is totally the Lancôme year – first of all, the beginning of summer 2013. is all about the Lancôme Hypnôse Show Collection reinvented by the famous Lanvin creative director, the one and only Alber Elbaz (one of my favorite designers). The Collection features famous Lancôme Hypnôse mascaras, eye shadow mono and multi palettes with the new packaging illustrated by Alber Elbaz in his unique dynamic, cool, happy and fashionable way. It’s so hard to resist all his red and pink stars, roses and little hearts… During the event, Ivana Lisak, Lancôme make-up artist did my eyes with the Hypnôse Doll Eyes eye shadow palette and Doll Eyes mascara – the shades are divine and the mascara made my naturally long lashes even longer and fuller – it’s great.
Apart from the much praised Alber Elbaz Collection for Lancôme, there are some other interesting new ins: the light version of the famous La Vie Est Belle EDT; the Advanced version of the cult serum Génifique (which I use every time before doing my make-up, combining it with Lancôme Visionnaire Skin Corrector – see review) and the thing I can’t wait for – the totally new revolutionary formula of the new serum/tainted corrector Dream Tone which will probably be launched on the market late summer.
We got the beautiful goodie bag with Génifique samples, Hypnôse Star mascara (review coming soon), a sweet pink beauty bag and the new lighter version of La Vie Est Belle. I’ve already reviewed the original version (see – review) and this one – La Vie Est Belle L’Eau de Parfum Légère – is not so dramatically different from the original though it really is considerably lighter and much more adequate for summer days. So the new fragrance does not differ too much from the original – it’s still strong, gourmand, sweet and sensual. But the heavy sweet notes are soothed and refreshed, adapted for hot days. The new version exudes a white musk aura, which is added to the original “edible” aromas of black currant, chocolate praline and vanilla mixed with flowers of jasmine and iris. The original version was a bit too much for me – a total sugar bomb – but this light version is perfectly downshifted and I like its sex appeal very much – it leaves a nice carnal and feminine effect on my skin. Will surely wear it for some important nightly occasions.
